Safety, and who should check first

Every device in the Light Code System was designed and tested at its own dose. These numbers are not interchangeable: a longer session on one device does not mean a longer session is safe on another.

You can use several devices on the same day. Keep each one inside its own limit, leave a little space between sessions, and start conservatively when you add something new.

Every session limit, in one place

From the Light Code System Manual. Each device also ships with its own manual, and that manual is the authority for its device.

Red Light+ Mat

90 min max. 20 to 30 min recommended, at least 4 hours apart.

Red Light+ Face Mask

5 min max. Three days a week, for eight weeks.

Belt+

30 min max. 10 min per area is the everyday habit.

Solomon's Crown

20 min max. Up to twice daily.

Red Light Cap

20 min, fixed. Three to five times a week.

Red Light Wand

5 min max. One area at a time, 1 min off between areas.

Frequency Relief Card

No limit. Passive; carry it all day.

Red Light+ Face Mask

The five-minute limit people get wrong

The Face Mask was cleared at five minutes per session, three days a week, for eight weeks. It is not a suggestion, and more is not better.

Never carry the mat's 20 to 90 minutes across to the mask. The mat is a whole-body device with its own dose; the mask is not a smaller version of it.

Talk with your doctor first if any of these apply
spa Pregnancy

Talk with your doctor before using any light device. The Face Mask is not to be used during pregnancy.

spa A pacemaker or other implanted device

Check with your doctor before starting. The Face Mask is not for anyone with a serious heart condition or a pacemaker.

spa Photosensitizing medication or retinoids

Some medicines make skin more sensitive to light. Check with your doctor or pharmacist first. The Face Mask is not for anyone using retinoids or photosensitizing medication.

spa Children

Our devices are for adults. The Face Mask is for adults over 18 only.

spa Face Mask, in addition

Not for anyone with suspicious or cancerous skin lesions, using topical steroids or having steroid injections, or on anti-inflammatory treatments. The full list is on page 4 of the mask's own manual.

spa Stop a session if

You feel dizziness, nausea, a headache, eye discomfort or any new pain. Stop, and speak to a healthcare provider before you resume.

Using the devices safely
spa Eyes

Never look directly into the LEDs. Goggles are recommended with the mat if you are photosensitive, take light-sensitizing medication, or your doctor advises it. Wear the glasses supplied with the wand, and the eye cover with the Face Mask.

spa Heat

The mat reaches about 47°C (117°F) at its highest setting after 30 minutes: lower the brightness or lie on it through light clothing if you are sensitive to heat, and never cover it with a blanket. The wand's five-minute limit is a heat limit.

spa Power

The mat runs from a wall outlet only, through its supplied adapter: never a power bank or an extension cord. The belt can run from the wall or a small USB battery. Do not use the Cap while it is charging.

spa Water and metal

The mat is not waterproof; keep it away from water. Do not wear metal jewellery where the mat touches you.

spa Care

Store the mat rolled, never folded. Never fold the belt at a sharp angle. Do not open, repair or modify any component; call us instead.

Supplements and skincare

Fuel, serum and mists

Exodus is for adults. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or under a doctor's care, talk with your provider first.

The Prep Serum and Frequency Mist+ are for external use only. Avoid the eyes, patch test first if your skin is sensitive, and stop if irritation occurs. Neither contains a heating agent, so both are safe to use with any Light Code device.
