From Corporate Success to Divine Purpose
How near-death experiences, personal struggle, and spiritual awakening led to the Light Code System
The Religious Years
Growing up Episcopal in Idaho, dedicated at a young age but never truly living for God. The best part of Sunday was leaving church to go to brunch. Wearing a cross necklace in high school as a badge of "I'm not Mormon" rather than love for Jesus. Going through the motions of religion without genuine faith.
The Corporate Climb
Twenty-five years in enterprise software sales. Fortune 500 companies, President's Club, trips to South Africa and the Masters. The house, the car, the things that were supposed to bring fulfillment. But underneath the success, a growing emptiness — and 4–5 drinks every day for two decades.
The Breaking Point
Lying in bed one evening, telling his wife: "I think I'm done drinking." She almost fell out of the bed. The next day, seeing a doctor, getting help, and stopping. Cold turkey. To this day, not one drop. God's strength, not his own. His wife's love, not her berating. From pathetic and broken to restored.
The Awakening
The pandemic as the "second truck" — a deep dive into health research that led to a deeper dive into faith. Biblical apologetics, textual criticism, prophecy proof, archaeological proof. Reading the entire Bible. Developing a personal relationship with God instead of just religion. Moving to Texas and finding the Mighty Men movement — 300+ men on fire for Christ.
The Mission
All the near-death experiences — age 2 crossing a busy street, age 7 falling into a rushing creek, a teenage glass door incident that came within a quarter inch of his heart. The alcohol recovery. The cancer. The heart failure. All of it leading to one realization:
